I’d like to thank my family… my ISP… my hosting provider. It’s been a long road - but we made it!
This year, rather than naming just a single person as their “person of the year”, Time Magazine has announced the most influential “person” of 2006 was the collective cybersphere.
Those of us who contribute to Wikipedia (yeah, we are the guys Wierd Al Yankovic sings about in his song “White and Nerdy”)… People have MySpace profiles.. Or upload videos to YouTube.
And of course, Bloggers - like my good friend and work collegue, Alister Cameron.
Al’s done something different to celebrate being one of the co-recipients of Time Magazine’s person of the year… He’s created this commemorative seal (which you can stick on your blog).
If you click on the “Get your own seal” link, you can get the code to put it on your blog too.
I think it’s great from a ego point-of-view (having something like that which you can put on your blog or myspace page with pride
) as well as a being a great example of link-baiting.
Oh, and if you feel it’s worth 20 seconds of your time, go Digg his post.
